Eligibility & Guideline
01. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Bangladesh. 02. Students who have passed SSC and HSC exams as per the year published by BNMC every year can apply. 03. In the case of admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses, 10% of the reserved seats in government institutions will be for male candidates. In private institutions, a maximum of 20% of the reserved seats can be filled by male candidates. For the Diploma in Midwifery course, only female candidates are eligible to apply. 04. (a) 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc in Nursing course): The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent exams in the Science stream. The total GPA of both exams should be at least 7.00, with no less than 3.00 in any individual exam. The candidate must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 in Biology in the HSC/equivalent exam. 05. For admission to Nursing and Midwifery courses, detailed information regarding online form submission, admission instructions, and admission policies can be found through the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Directorate of Nursing and Midwifery, and the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council. 06. Separate question papers will be provided for the BSc and Diploma courses, with a 100-mark MCQ-based exam held in one hour. The subject-wise distribution of marks for the exams is as follows: (a) BSc in Nursing: Bengali-20, English-20, Mathematics-10, Science-40 (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry), and General Knowledge-10. (b) Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery & Diploma in Midwifery: Bengali-20, English-20, General Mathematics-10, General Science-30, and General Knowledge-20. 07. The selection of candidates will be based on the GPA obtained in the SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent exams, and the marks obtained in the MCQ exam. The GPA obtained in the SSC or equivalent exam multiplied by 5 = 25 marks (maximum); the GPA obtained in the HSC or equivalent exam multiplied by 5 = 25 marks (maximum); MCQ exam = 100 marks, total = (25 + 25 + 100) = 150 marks. 08. Candidates who obtain 40 (forty) or more marks in the MCQ exam will be considered to have passed. Candidates will be selected based on the national merit list. In the case of government institutions, the admission will be based on the merit order and the candidate’s preference for institutions. In private institutions, the governing body/management committee will approve admission based on the merit list of the candidates who passed the entrance exam. 09. Admission fee: The application fee for the BSc in Nursing course is 700/- (seven hundred) Taka, and for the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery courses, it is 500/- (five hundred) Taka. The fee must be paid through Teletalk prepaid mobile. The application will only be finalized once the fee is paid online. 10. For reserved seats, including those for freedom fighters and ethnic minorities, the latest government-issued rules and regulations applicable on the day of the admission test will be followed. However, if suitable candidates are not found for the reserved seats, candidates will be admitted based on the general merit list. 11. For other admission-related issues, the admission policy for the BSc in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, and Diploma in Midwifery courses, and the rules of the respective year will be followed. In matters not mentioned in the policy, the decision of the admission committee will be final. 12. If the information provided by the selected candidates is found to be incomplete, false, or incorrect, their admission will be canceled.Eligibility & Guideline
(b) 3-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery & Diploma in Midwifery: The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent exams in any stream. The total GPA of both exams should be at least 6.00, with no less than 2.50 in any individual exam.
